5th of MARCH UPDATE 2021
Dear Bertholder,
We are very pleased to see the following announcement from the British Marine federation and it interpretation of the governments COVID policy and restrictions.
"British Marine is delighted that from 8 March watersports, including the use of privately-owned craft and self-drive day hire boats for single households,
can go ahead in England (subject to local navigation and harbour authority guidance).
This is provided the boats are open air. Furthermore, it has been concluded that marinas can open from 8 March to allow recreational boating to take place
and boat brokerage can open in line with non-essential retail from 12 April.
It is welcome news that outdoor recreation is again in the first wave of lockdown restrictions to be lifted. The physical and mental benefits of being
on or near the water and the natural social distancing that all forms of boating and watersports offer will be invaluable this summer."
So please take this as our conformation that Blackwater Marina will be OPEN for a restricted return of services from NEXT MONDAY the 8th of MARCH.
This service will be subject to Governmental guidance over the coming months.
Please keep up to date with current Governmental guidance and restrictions.

Welcome to Blackwater Marina
Blackwater Marina lies on the UK’s east coast in a natural, sheltered harbour between the historic maritime towns of Maldon and Burnham on Crouch. The Continent is a day’s sail away, and London an hour by car or
train.
The marina has fully serviced pontoon berths for 196 vessels and hardstanding for another 150. In addition, its 100 swinging moorings can offer access at all states of the tide to the region’s best cruising waters and
some of the UK’s rarest wildlife.
The marina has a rich heritage and today is home to an enviable diversity of craft – from Thames Barges and fishing smacks to racing yachts and modern motor cruisers. The extensive shoreside facilities are also
decidedly modern, but one thing hasn’t changed over the years – the good old-fashioned Blackwater welcome.
Welcome
